IBS Sano - Low FODMAP Recipes - Logo Background


50g gluten free flour

25g icing sugar

½tsp baking powder free from gluten

½ tsp xanthan gum free from guten

½ tsp cinnamon

1 tbsp oil

3 tbsps maple syrup

150ml boiling water

To serve

2 tbsp maple syrup

1 banana sliced


Preheat the oven to 180°C/Fan 160°C/350°F/Gas 4. Sieve gluten free flour, sugar, baking powder and xanthan into a bowl.

Add the oil and syrup and mix into a paste. Stir in the boiling water to make a thick smooth batter.

Line a large baking tray with parchment. Spoon batter into nine 8cm/3” rounds.

Bake in a pre-heated oven for 30/35 minutes.  Serve with maple syrup and banana.
