450g minced pork
1 tbsp rice flour
1 egg beaten
2 tbsp finely chopped fresh cilantro
olive oil for frying
For the oriental glaze
3 tbsp golden syrup
2 tbsp gluten free soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
2 scallions, finely sliced - green ends only
1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
Make the meatballs. Put pork in a bowl and fold in rice flour, egg and cilantro.
Mix and season with salt and lots of black pepper.
Shape into 20 balls and put on a tray lined with greaseproof paper.
Chill for 30 mins. To make the glaze, mix all the ingredients together and gently warm in a small pan.
Brush the balls with olive oil and fry for 3-4 mins each side.
Coat with the warm glaze and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and chopped scallion (green end only).
